Anonymous play, originally written and performed in 1593 for the arrival of Cardinal Archbishop Don Rodrigo de Castro to Monforte de Lemos, Galicia. Although the authorship is unknown, it was possibly written by a Galician jesuit. The comedy was performed over two consecutive days and includes several acts and scenes. In most of the scenes the "Galician provinces," including Lemos, Coruña, Orense, Ribadavia, Altamira, and Lugo, come before the archbishop to pay their respects and present their respective emblems, inventions, and letters. There are also several "entremeses," or interludes written in prose, which include numerous comic scenes. One of these interludes is written in Galician.
